Recent Projects
A recent project with fantastic results!
- Saltbox Blue paint is on the trim in living room and keeping room.
- Linen White paint is on the bottom half of living room walls and the upper half of the Keeping room walls.
- Olde Ivory paint is inside living room hutch and on Keeping room beadboard.
- Lamp Black is on the Kitchen Chairs and the master Bedroom furniture.
Rather than buying new expensive counter tops the homeowner chose to resurface using Paint and a Crackling medium and a second coat of contrasting color followed by sealing with a coat of Oil Based polyurethane and a coat of Bri-Wax (Clear) makes it even more durable.
Steps for doing the above are as follows:
- Lightly sand the surface.
- Apply a base coat of paint and let dry overnight (Base coat was Linen White).
- Apply a coat of Crackling Medium (follow directions on can).
- Apply a coat of contracting color (this color was Saltbox Blue) let dry overnight.
- Apply a coat of Oil Based polyurethane and let dry overnight, a second coat can be applied as well.
- For more durability apply a coat of Clear Bri-Wax paste wax.
- It is best to protect this surface by not cutting directly on it, but it does have excellent durability.
Bri-Wax in a color can also be used as an Antiquing method over any paint color you choose.
Antique Chairs
This is the kind of furniture that I sell. I have never found a better product than your simulated mild paint.
Thanks!

A Beautiful Farmhouse
I am Dorothy Hepler's granddaughter (Springhouse Basket Shop) and Jack Miller's daughter (Strawberry Crow). I'm attaching a few photos of my house, which I just had repainted in your wonderful paint!
The siding is thistle, the trim is cranberry and the door is lamp black. Sorry I still have air conditioners hanging out of the windows (they'll be out in a month) and I need to paint my blue chairs too. I'm probably going to do them in thistle.
The siding portion of my house was built by my great great grandfather in 1893. The siding is original. The log portion is est. 1827 and was likely built by Germans who immigrated to Western Pa. I had the log portion restored in 2001. I'd say 90 percent of the logs are original (the bottom log and a few corners had to be replaced). Most of the logs are oak or wormy chestnut. My great great grandfather also built the bank barn and stone springhouse, which I am also repainting in your paint.
My grandmother, Dorothy, gave me the 28-acre farm in 2001. She and my grandfather (now deceased) worked the farm and had full time jobs from the 1960s until 2001. It's a lot of work but I just love it! I've completely repainted the interior in your colors as well.
I'm so pleased with how it turned out. Thanks again for making such a great product!
